My Students Testimonials
Tim, sport marketing, Germany.

My name is Tim, I am 31 years and work currently as a Commercial Director at a training centre for professional football teams in Marbella.
I arrived about 2 and a half years ago in Barcelona with a very limited knowledge of Spanish. During my 2 year stay in Barcelona I had the pleasure to meet Montse, who taught me Spanish on a weekly basis. I am quite bad when it comes to languages, but Montse managed to teach me Spanish in a professional way, with great results. Nowadays I am able to hold a Spanish conversation without any problem and have good Spanish writing skills.
Montse helped me also to prepare presentations and articles which I needed for my work and we updated my CV various times. Additionally we wrote some cover letters, which helped me to secure the excellent job, which I hold nowadays. All this has been very helpful for my professional career.
All in all I can highly recommend Montse, as she is not only a fantastic Spanish teacher, but she became also a good friend during my time in Barcelona.
We had normally classes in nice cafes in a very relaxed atmosphere and Montse has a good sense of humour, which helped a lot to enjoy the classes.
It is also important for her to teach her students about Spanish culture and provides much information about the countries world of music, cinema and literature.
If you are looking for a nice, good and humorous Spanish teacher, Montse is the right person for you.

Bergendy & Guy, architec & graphic designer, New Zealand
We lived in Barcelona for two years after years of living in London and New York. With little knowledge of Spanish we initially enrolled in a local school where Tia Montse was our teacher. After this we continued private lessons from home with Montse which was fantastic and allowed us to continue learning on a more casual and personal level. Monste is an incredibly competent teacher, classes were always fun, enjoyable and well planned, we only wished we were more studious! estudiantes perozosos!!
I would highly recommend Montse to anybody wanting to learn Spanish, from beginners like ourselves to those already with a reasonable background knowledge

Adam, computer programmer, London.
Hi, my name is Adam, I'm from the UK but I live and work here in Barcelona as a computer programmer. While I was studying for my DELE Intermediate exam I went once a week for private Spanish classes with Montse. Montse helped and encouraged me in my preparations, guided my study, helped with my doubts and taught the areas that I needed to cover before the exam.
I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and I think that Montse's teaching style was well suited to me. The classes were varied, covering all the different skills that I needed to improve in preparation for the exam. Montse is a patient, friendly and very competent teacher and I recommend her classes!

Elena, poetessa, Roma.

Michael, English teacher, London.
My name is Michael. I moved to Barcelona from London over a year ago and I currently work as an English teacher here in Barcelona. Montse has helped me prepare for the DELE “Nivel Superior” exam. I have found her classes extremely helpful and fun. After trying different Spanish teachers and feeling frustrated, I am very grateful to have found a teacher like Montse whose approach to teaching is highly professional, unlike so many other would-be teachers in Barcelona. I feel I have improved significantly thanks to her classes and it has felt easy. I can wholeheartedly recommend her as a teacher.

Yannis, publicist, London
Hello, there, my name is Yannis and I currently live between Barcelona and London, where my work is. My hectic schedule means that I have little time for Spanish lessons, but Monste has managed to keep me interested and motivated through her unique approach: flexible timings, fun environment, cultural insights you won't find in any textbook or school (Viva la Movida Madrilena - look it up!) and most importantly smart customisation of the course to my needs and interests! Highly recommended!
Richard, English teacher, Scotland
Hello, I'm Richard from Scotland, I'm 25 and I had classes with Montse some time ago. It was in the stage where I was vaguely familiar with Spanish after some self study but she really helped me iron out all my basic problems and helped me express myself more clearly in Spanish. She was very patient, encouraging and provided lots of useful resources to help me learn. I would recommend her to anyone interested in learning Spanish!
Dessie, accountant, Ireland
My name is Des. I am 35 and work as an accountant here in Barcelona. I moved here from Ireland in 2008. While searching for work I studied 6 hours per week with Montse in 3 blocks of 2. I found her methods were to a very high standard, well planned and personalised to my own needs. Apart from the methods mentioned in her Bio (don´t worry, you don´t have to sing), she also helped me with interview preparation and roleplay. Similarly, she helped me to understand Barcelona at a more local level and became a friend aswell as a teacher.
